KNCCI Nyamira Chapter

The Business of Nyamira

The chamber that can prove its county's output is the chamber that gets the buyer. This is Nyamira's register: who trades here, what they produce, at what price, in which market.

Why a register, and not a brochure

The buyer no longer starts in the room. An importer working under the zero-tariff framework China opened to African products, or an analyst screening projects for a financing window, begins with a search. What they find decides whether Nyamira is on the shortlist before anyone here has been contacted.

Every chamber in Kenya can convene. Very few can answer a buyer’s question in the time it takes to read an email. This site is the Chapter’s answer to that question, and the register beneath it is the asset the Chapter actually owns.

The catchment

Nyamira hosts a County Aggregation and Industrial Park, sits inside an open export framework, and grows the exact crop list the national Chamber has been moving. Each figure below traces to a published source at the foot of this page.

A zero-tariff framework for African products entering China took effect on 1 May 2026. Nyamira grows the crops it covers. The constraint on taking that window is not produce — it is proof, which is what the AI Pavilion exists to supply.

  • Macadamia

Nut grown on smallholdings, named in the Chamber's own export facilitation record alongside avocado, coffee and tea.

    Planned

  • Dairy

Zero-grazing units on small holdings, delivering to cooperative collection points.

Where the register stands

The register is open and currently holds no entries. It is built to list every business in Nyamira, whether or not it holds current membership, and it is populated by businesses adding themselves and by the Chapter working the coordinating markets.
