Record

The Chapter's permanent record

Accession number, date, event, participants, documents and plates. After the Expo this site stops being a promotion and becomes the record.

The record holds no accessions yet

Nothing has been accessioned. The schema is in place so that the first entry costs one file and no rebuild — which is the point, because an archive designed after the event it was meant to record is an archive that never gets designed.

After the Expo, this is where the site stops being a promotion. What was convened, who was in the room, what was signed and what was photographed all land here under an accession number, and stay.

What an accession carries

Accession number
The Chapter’s own sequence. Never reused, never reassigned.
Date
When it happened, not when it was filed.
Event
What was convened.
Participants
Institutions present. Individuals only with written permission.
Documents
Minutes, communiqués, signed instruments, as filed.
Plates
Images, each classified illustrative or documentary.

Why the archive is part of the site

A chamber's convening power is easy to describe and hard to evidence. A permanent, numbered record of what was actually convened — with the documents attached and the images classified — is the difference between a claim and a citation, and it is the thing that outlives whichever anniversary paid for it.

Corrections and additions to the record go to the Chapter Secretariat at nyamira@kenyachamber.or.ke. Questions about a plate or its classification go to desk@makairo.studio.
